What is a good free dvd menu creation software? I have decided to make a tutorial on youtube on how to make an 'iDVD menu' in windows. I have created the actual menu in blender but what free software can i use that will turn it into a proper menu with buttons? It needs to be free. I would use adobe encore but I am sure not many people would have that. If there is something like that free it would be of great help! Thanks! I would use the video i have created as the background and then put buttons over the top
Easiest/Cheapest DVD Creation Software? I have a JVC Hi 8 video camera with a firewire connection to my PC running Windows 7. What is the cheapest/ easiest to use video editing software out there? I am strictly looking to get the video off of my camcorder tapes, onto my PC, and burning them to a DVD. Don't have a need for video editing per se.
DVD Creation Software Recommendations?? Can anyone recommend a good, user friendly, simple yet robust software for turning my digital videos from my camcorder (Sony HDD) into DVDs?? I don't need too many bells and whistles as I'm not trying to create a Hollywood style video. I'd simply like it to edit into chapters (with chapter titles), not take an hour to burn and have it able to play in any DVD player. Thanks in advance.

Need help finding a DVD creation software....? What I want to be able to do is create more than just a chapter menu. I wanna have the play button, the chapter menu for the main video, a special features menu where you can see outtakes and behind the scenes stuff. I have tried Nero Vision, AVS DVD Creator, and Windows DVD but none of them come close to what I want. I noticed that Adobe Encore has some of the features I'm looking for but they dont seem to be selling it on the website anymore, so heres my question. Is there anywhere that I can find Adobe Encore or is there another program that I can get that will give me what I'm looking for?

Recommend powerful DVD Authoring Software for Pirates? I'm a pirate. Yarr. I need some DVD creation software, like Nero Vision, such that I can create regular DVD-Video discs with menus, with television episodes that are converted from my illicit AVI files. I'd like to go from my torrents, to my DVD shelf, with some work in between but a good end result. I don't use Nero because it a) BORKS my system, every time, every computer, no fail, Nero fails eventually and b) doesn't let me do what I want with the DVD menus - i.e. I can't make it put in an 'easter egg' style extra button, where you go to the middle of the buttons, wait for a part of the background animation, and then press a direction that shouldn't exist but then you find the extra button (if you have the retail Scooby Doo movie DVD it has exactly this) <- this is the kind of control I am looking for, and have never found. I'll settle for a decent program that will let me put a picture for the background, and have each AVI as a title, with chapters, linked from the menu (and hopefully a submenu) Super bonus if it allows for selectable subtitles, and MKV or other multi-audio-channel files (AVI can do this too but for some reason nobody ever does!) such that the resulting DVD is able to use the 'Audio' button on my player's remote to go from Japanese to English audio.
What software to use to create an interactive DVD quiz/game (playable on DVD player)? Most DVD creation software can do a simple quiz, ie ask a question, then show 4 different answers and link 3 to a "wrong answer" screen and one to a "correct" screen, but I am looking for something more sophisticated, like some of the ones I have seen that keep score, allow multiple teams etc. Examples are TV adicts, Deal/No Deal etc. Please don't reply with the usual trite "do a google search", that's not helping anyone. Thanks.
CD or DVD burning software with 3D menu creation? I want a software so that i can burn CDs or DVDs with three dimentional menus enabled. Presently the softwares that i am using are good but not satisfying. The menus may contain like zig zag movements of names, scrollings etc.
How do I blank (not format) a re-writeable DVD? I have a DVD recorder that records onto DVD-RW disks. I also have a PC with a DVD writer and DVD creation software. The DVD recorder records TV programs in Video Recorder Mode format. I can then use the PC software to convert these files onto a new disk in standard DVD format. (Audio TS, Video TS and .VOB files) The video recorder can format the original DVD-RW it recorded to, making blank and available to use again. The problem I have run into is if I save something in standard DVD format onto one of my DVD-RW disks, and then format it in the DVD recorder, the DVD recorder gives an error message if I try to record to it. It appears the DVD recorder format process does not remove everything the PC did to the DVD. What I need is some way for the PC to return the DVD to the condition it was in before it was ever used, so that I can re-use it in the DVD recorder. Does anyone know a way to do this. (There is no point buying expensive software, because the disks are only 50p each) Format is not the same as blank. Only disks formatted in the DVD recorder will work in the DVD recorder. The problem is if the disk has been formatted by the PC, formatting in the DVD recorder is not good enough.
DVD Burning/Copying On Vista? Hi. Myself and my best freind, film the local drama productions and make dvds of them. We have to make upwards of 16 copies. It would therefore be far to slow to keep burning dvds again and again and waiting for the footage to convert. We used to use windows XP when we brought a new acer laptop and it came with software. We then decided to upgrade to windows Vista because it has a better version of Movie Maker and bettter dvd creation software. The problem is, it takes hours to burn a dvd and so we want to copy dvds as it is quicker. We have a dvd RW drive in the laptop but no software as our old software was deleted when we upgraded. Is there anyway of being able to copy our DVDS without having to shell out a lot of money for new software. We have made these dvds so oviously they are not copyright protected. Thanks (its causing a big problem right now. We will loose money if the dvds are not ready on time.)
widescreen DVD creation? I'm trying to create a widescreen DVD from my widescreen sony DCR-hc42 camera The camera itself records in widescreen format, i capture the tape using adobe premier and the .avi file is still widescreen 720x480 The problem arives when i try to convert it to DVD using Roxio DVD Builder ... it just makes it normal screen thus scewing up the video .. now everybody on the video look thin and long What i want is the final video to appear on a normal TV as a widescreen using those black bars at the top and bottom. As i realize, the problem is in the DVD builder software (which converts my widescreen .avi into DVD format). I have searched all the options of Roxio soft, it has nothing about this .. Any recomendations ? any other soft to use ?
Digital Camcorder Software HELP!!!? I am looking for a decent digital cam. with hard-drive / memory stick storage. It's for work so it doen't need to many frills. What software can burn a 1.36gb movie to DVD? Ok, I have a lot of dvd-burning software, but none burn a movie this big. I don't mind if it encodes it but all I need is a software that can compress the quality or whatever and automatically burn it so I can play it on a DVD player. It would be nice if it had a menu creation option but it isn't necessary. Thanks and hope someone can help.
what is the best photo slideshow creation software for mac users ? what i need is a software that have a lot of transitions to choose(over 150 will be great), pan zoom( ken burn) effects, and able to allow me to burn it into a disc with Dvd quality(HD would be nice), with simple User Interface. before this i m a pc user too, I'd tried Roxio Digital Media, Nero7(nero vision), which are good too, but nero only allow me to create every slideshow not more than 99 photos, which unable to feel up my needs. So I'd found out that one of the burning software for mac is Toast7 Titanium, (same company with Roxio), so any website that i can get more info for this software? or beside Toast7, any other choices for me?
Best Slide-show creation software Expert Opinion? Anyone with experience please advise what you think has the best 'icing' features available now on Slide-show creation software. Features like user control to pan/zoom, smooth dissolves, special effects and will build menus and burn to DVD. I have already tried NERO-VISION & ROXIO 2010 PRO, both have cool features AND awful quirks as well. Id there anything out there better than these suite products?
Help with slideshow creation software!? Hi there everyone and thanks in advance. I have been trying all sorts of slideshow software from free ones like Windows DVD maker, to trials of others like Corel VideoStudio and Arcsoft Showbiz, and none of them are doing what I need. All of them seem to make a slideshow but limitations arise with chapter creation. I'd like to index every picture as a chapter, therefore allowing for full visibility of the images on the DVD itself. Does anyone know of a good quality product that has a setting that can place a chapter at every interval so that one would not have to manually do it several hundred times? I'd be happy to purchase a program that solves this problem but so far it just hasn't happened. I really appreciate any advice!!!

Cucusoft Mpeg/Mov/RMVB/DivX/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter seems like a great program and very simple to use but i dont see where it will allow me to create a menu (play, scene selections, ect), and the ability to add an audio file during the viewing of the menu; this is very important to me.
Is it possible to develop a free/open source and legal CD/DVD mastering and DVD solution software? I plan to develop a free/open source CD/DVD mastering software in the future with the following features: 1. Burn all types of discs (data, audio, and video CD/DVD) 2. DVD authoring and Video editing / conversion. 3. Audio/Video Player (the included DVD decoder cannot be used with other video player) 4. Backup computer files. 5. ISO file creation. 6. disc copying (does not support the copyright-protected DVD.). I will not use the GPL license. Instead, I will create my own license and include the sentence "This software should only be used for legal purposes. If you try to do any illegal things with this software, including but not limited to copyrighted disc protection, the developers of this software will not be responsible.". And, the person who modify the source code must submit the compiled and non-compiled source code to the other developers to gain approval before they can upload it to any website. If any features are illegal, how to make it legal without remove it? I planned to develop this software in the future. I want to make sure that all the included features are legal. My actual questions are the following: Is there any features are illegal? And, if illegal, can I make it legal without removing it? If can, how to do it?

Windows Media Player, Real PLayer, VLC Player -- Burn 3 different formats into one DVD-RW? Before i go on, I have WMP< REAL PLAYER< VLC PLAYER. I have videos that i want to burn in a CD, i want to put the videos togeather. But they're from 3 diff formats. I have less videos in WMP, so im not going to burn a CD thats 5 min of video. besides, i want to put them all together. I have alot of videos in real player. when i go to real player and click BURN, video..it says " Real player needs to download Video Burning Support Software to allow DVD/VCD creation. You do not have the neccessary User permission to enable auto update. please contact you administrator.." now i have to do all this before june 20. so i can't call, and real player wont let me burn. so, VLC Player, i have movies. it doesn't even have a Burning software. so i dont know what to do. When people give me converters like convert x to dvd or top5soft, it works fine, for free, but when you burn it, it says " buy a key with out this message .." right in the middle of the screen all the time! so theres no point of watching a movie with letters right infront. I just want videos from WMP, VLC PLAYER, AND REAL PLAYER in one CD. for free and without a message on the screen after you burn it. please give me something useful
DVD burned using DVD writer on my laptop is blank--an suggestions? Trying to burn vacation photos DVD using laptop DVD writer and software that came on the laptop. The process seems to work fine (takes about an hour to burn around 4 GB of photos onto the DVD; the DVD pops open and the software indicates that the creation of the DVD was successful). However, the DVD remains blank. The discs appear to be compatible with the drive (according to the computer manual) and I have followed all of the instructions perfectly. Any suggestions? I have a sony DCR-SR32 handycam (hard drive). i can put and recordings on the pc but when i open the dvd creation wizard it say it cant find a drive to burn to. every other burning software i have can find the drive apart from this one. i cant use any of my other software either because of the format. has anyone else had this problem? any suggestions would be great. AHHH i didnt realise that a dvd burner and a cd burner were 2 different things. it does just say cd rewritable on the tray front. i guess that just means it only does cds?
What does "Unspecified Error [0x80004005]" mean in Roxio Creator 8 (Disc Copier) when I try to burn a DVD? I'm converting some old VHS movies (recorded off of TV) to DVD. I'm using a Panasonic VHS/DVD recorder, with Sony DVD+RW discs. I take the disc and go through the whole editing process to get rid of the commercials, using the Video Compilation tool under Disc Copier in Roxio Creator 8 on my computer. My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and there's plenty of RAM. Everything goes as it's supposed to until I want to burn my creation to DVD. I place a blank DVD+RW disc in my Sony DVD burner (which comes with sample Nero software, btw). Then I click on "Burn" where it pulls up a small window indicating the phases it has to go through. It's then when I get the error message, "Unspecified Error [0x80004005]" and stops the burn process. Never mind that I also get the "Roxio...has encountered an error and needs to close" messages when I try to use anything else in the software suite. I can't get anyone to help me at Roxio Support. Any solutions or suggestions as to the possible problem?
I want to do professional-quality digital video productions- what's the best software for use with windows? Some friends and I want to produce some low budget straight to DVD digital animated films, and none of us own a mcintosh so Final Cut Pro isn't an option at this time. Does anyone know what the best windows compatible software(either XP or Vista) would be to use for this purpose? We'd like to have the ability to do blue/green screen video editing, non linear editing, audio mixing, and possibly title/credit creation, as well as creation of the dvd and menus the film will be on. Money is no object as this is the most important component of this project, next to the camera itself. Are there any independant filmmakers out there that use windows to edit their children, and if so what do you recommend?(short of buying a new apple pc!) Thanks in advance to anyone who might have an answer to this! T.R.
Looking for yearbook Software? Hey, I'm looking for a software (Free or paid) to create a simple virtual yearbook that can play played from any DVD Player. The yearbook would contain pictures (slide shows) and videos. What I'm looking for is a software that can create an well organized DVD Menu, with folders (and sub-folders) to separate groups of pictures and videos. The Software must also be able to burn DVDs. (Note that the software I'm looking for shouldn't necessarily be exclusively made for Yearbook creation, but simply a DVD Makers with these features) Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Loading pictures from old diskettes to CD/DVD? Okay, I have hundreds of diskettes with pictures on them, back from my old Sony Mavica digital camera. I want to toss the diskettes, and finally learn to put them all out on DVD's, (I presume, please inform me if should be done differently), so that I can categorize them, and sort for photo album creation. I'm using Corel Photo Album as the software, but I've accidently purchased Music song CD's and haven't a clue what CD's or DVD's what you call them to use. Please help. I can't exchange the CD's, so I'm stuck with the incorrect ones that I bought, they don't work for pictures. This is a DIY project which will take me quite a few weekends, and I'm honestly clueless how to get it all together. Thanks! thanks thus far, I have 10 disks, (packaged) Memorex DVD+R, 8X4.7 GB, 120 video... when I tried to load pictures on it, would load... . Just more details for you!
DVD Creator Software with Subtitle support? Here I have an AVI file bundled with subtitles (SRT file). I want to create a DVD for it integrating the SRT file as subtitles. Are there any DVD creation software that can do this? I don't want to use Nero since video quality is not good when I use it. It would be great if it can support SRT, ASS, TXT and other subtitle files.

DVD Creation Software? I need some DVD Creation software that I can use to make DVDs that have menus and stuff. Can someone give me some software? (would be nice if it was free!)
How do I protect and save my stuff? I'm going to re-partition my hard drive. I own all the software, so that's not a problem. But I understand that the hard drive will be totally wiped clean. What's the best method to store for future use my creations: pictures, sounds, music, videos, web pages, calendars, documents, e-mails and faxes sent and received, etcetera????????? I'm going to re-partition so that I can have 2 operating systems on my pc: ME and XP. Since I got XP none of my periphials (scanner and printer) work the same and some of my favorite software is unuseable. Please give details how to save my stuff to CD, DVD, or floppy or some other means - but not online! Thanks in advance!

Cyberlink Power Director for Video Editing? Is this software a good buy? Are there other better and cheaper software out there which would offer Video editing capability and creation to a multiple format environment - MPEG, AVI, Div etc, and burn + compress for DVD burning and WEB broadcast.
technical computer question? Ok, I have an hp media center pc that did not come with a recovery cd. Instead it has "HP PC Recovery CD-DVD Creator" this only allows for the creation of one copy. Here is my problem, I created the cd like 4 years ago and over the course of that 4 years the cd has become scratched. I want to make another copy of the recovery cd. I contacted HP and they told me to buy a retail version of XP. I contacted Microsoft and they wanted $59.00 just to talk to me. All I want is a copy of the software that I already have. Anyone know how to reset the system so that it doesnt know a recovery disk has been made? I am a single mother of 2 with a very limited income and can not afford a new computer or a new copy of XP. I have successfully recovered my pc. It took several hours of retrying because of the scratches on the disk, but I want to get another copy of my restore disk made so that I dont have that problem in the future

How do I use Recovery Discs (2 DVDs) to restore or to recover my computer to its original factory settings? I bought an HP A6540D Desktop Package from a computer store. It has Genuine Windows Vista pre-installed with few HP add-ons. The salesman asked me to buy 2 DVD-R discs and launch a program called "Recovery Disc Creation". The computer took about 1 hour to finish the writing process. The writing of files on both DVDs were successful. Now, I want to use those discs to recover my PC to its Original Manufacturer Settings. How do I use those disks to recover my PC? The 2 DVDs doesn't contain any instructions or setup launchers. The computer also said that only one set of recovery disks can be made per PC. Do the trials and OEM software will be re-installed? And do the installed programs will be removed? Please provide a step-by-step procedure on using the 2 Recovery DVD disks! Please also answer the other questions above! Thanks for the reply!
Will I be able to apply Mechatronics in the design of an airplane, Propulsion, Mars Rover, and Robots? Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and software engineering. The purpose of this interdisciplinary engineering field is the study of automata from an engineering perspective and serves the purposes of controlling advanced hybrid systems. Mechatronics principles have led to the creation of a wide range of devices, such as antilock brakes, automotive emission controls, artificial hearts, automated brewery controls, photocopiers, autofocus cameras, vending machines, DVD players, computer hard drives, automated windshield wipers, moisture-sensitive dryers, haptic virtual reality simulators, and, of course, robots. Future applications include sophisticated artificial limbs that interface with the wearer's nervous system and camless combustion engines that drastically increase fuel efficiency. mechatronic engineering would involve mathematics, mechanics, machine component design, mechanical design, thermodynamics, power engineering, robotics.
