Ok, I have an hp media center pc that did not come with a recovery cd. Instead it has "HP PC Recovery CD-DVD Creator" this only allows for the creation of one copy. Here is my problem, I created the cd like 4 years ago and over the course of that 4 years the cd has become scratched. I want to make another copy of the recovery cd. I contacted HP and they told me to buy a retail version of XP. I contacted Microsoft and they wanted $59.00 just to talk to me. All I want is a copy of the software that I already have. Anyone know how to reset the system so that it doesnt know a recovery disk has been made? I am a single mother of 2 with a very limited income and can not afford a new computer or a new copy of XP. I have successfully recovered my pc. It took several hours of retrying because of the scratches on the disk, but I want to get another copy of my restore disk made so that I dont have that problem in the future
